Goals and needs
Dilwyn wants a better life than his parents and the whole previous generation in his home country. Therefore, he wants to educate himself to become an intelligent chemist. He is very interested in precious metals and the beauty of mother nature.
He is looking for a job as a biochemist in Oreland. As soon as he has earned enough money, he wants to return to Distopia to start up a University for scientists. The aim is to encourage the farming techniques and therefore the whole agricultural economy of the region where he lives. He thinks the unemployment and poverty of the elderly, who don’t dare to flee, is not fair.
Likes and dislikes
This geeky, but ambitious person likes backpacking, camping (both with friends and alone), exploring nature’s creations such as waterfalls, volcanos and so on. At home, he also likes to examine the ores and (precious) metals he finds on his trips. Besides that, he likes fishing and cooking his catches.
He doesn’t like the fact that people stay as uninformed and ‘insane’ (Distopia’s own words) as they are, instead of going to the rare libraries to get access to the Internet for example.
Lifestyle characteristics
As most people in Distopia, Dilwyn has a primitive lifestyle and does not have any regular routine in life: he just lives ‘in the now’. But he dreams of a more structured and meaningful life. He is an inventor and is not afraid of taking action.
Personality characteristics
Dilwyn is a wonderer, he can be amazed as a child by the beauty of mother nature. He is a bit of a ‘benefactor’: he does not only take care of his friends and family but also wants to improve the living conditions of all the inhabitants of Distopia. He is pretty sure he could change something, so he is courageous and quite self-assured
